Here’s some colours from a small village in the South of France. Enjoy! <3 C&A
From the moment we sat down to meet with Steph and Nick for the first time over a glass of wine at their home….we knew that their wedding would be something special! No, wait! We knew that they were someone special and we’re so glad that we got that chance to meet! We still remember that evening like yesterday! While Alex oogled at Nick’s amazing bicycle in the corner of the lounge (Nick’s a cyclist…and Alex likes to think he is), Steph caught Coralee’s attention with discussion of pretty fall colors and debated of which tone for the flowing bridesmaid dresses would best suit the style of the day. Well, as you can imagine…..everything worked out perfectly! Last week in London we were fortunate enough to meet up personally with Steph and Nick as our paths briefly crossed on our overseas adventures. Since the wedding the lovely couple have been travelling far and wide. As a matter of fact…we wake up each morning checking to see their facebook pages for tales and photographs of African safaris, Parisian restaurants and riding bicycles in the south of france! Steph, Nick….we hope you’re having fun! We haven’t been to that restaurant yet!
The wedding day was incredible!…Amazing!…Stunning!…As perfect as a wedding day celebration could possibly be. Coralee spent the morning at The Estate, Waiheke (we can’t speak highly enough about this venue) while Alex hung out with the guys at a house nearby. We love starting the day independently with the bride and groom. Our experiences are inevitably so different. Coralee relaxed with the girls while Alex adventured out with the boys for a spot of archery and target shooting and a couple of brews of course! The autumn day was crisp and the courtyard at The Estate where the ceremony took place provided some welcome shade from the sun before the bridal party and guest spilled out onto the front lawn to celebrate while taking in the breathtaking views over Church Bay.
We took off with the bridal party just down the road to make the most of the disappearing sun and discovered a little vineyard that made for some pretty awesome photographs of the happy couple. But the day hadn’t ended yet. It had barely begun. Under the shelter of a giant marquee…..Steph, Nick and their family and friends partied the night away. It was a PARTY, that’s for sure. Alex’s favourite part of the wedding day to photograph! Everyone danced. Things got a little crazy….we danced some more (yup, we danced too!) and then Steph and Nick departed under an archway of guests arms and a shower of petals. Perfect!
Steph and Nick are travelling with their trusty iPad and I have a feeling that the images we gave them were a bit too much for the wee iPad to handle….this might be the first of their wedding they’ve seen too!
Steph, Nick….it was great to see you both. Great to meet you, your family and friends. Great to be there to celebrate with you…We are honoured we could be there and a part of the day. Enjoy your travels…and we hope you enjoy reliving the wedding day through these images as much as we did!
Can you believe it?! We are in PARIS!! And we are having such an incredible time! Exploring, eating, drinking, walking, eating and photographing just like good ol’ tourists! Sshhh don’t tell Alex I said the word tourist… haha he is very conscious of looking like one. I, on the other hand totally don’t care and pull the peace sign for almost every photo. geek. The above photos were taken in the beautiful sunset looking over the River Seine. What a sight! Shortly after we grabbed a bottle of wine and sat by a water fountain in the Jardin des Tuileries. I think its going to be hard to leave this place!
I guess we should take the time now to say thank you for your patience if you have emailed us and we have taken a little longer to reply. The computer seems to be bit lonely lately as we soak up the sights!
Au revoir! C&A xx
We are absolutely loving the colours from Benita and Joachim’s wedding in Germany. What do you think??
