Coralee & Alex – Photographers

Last Friday Alex and I were honored to photograph Nat and Karl’s Mollies / Mantell’s wedding. These two were such a treat to spend the day with! Karl works with Crane Brothers so is always looking immaculate but looked especially sharp this day in a tailor made  crazy exotic french cotton Crane Brothers suit. Nat looked absolutely breathtaking in her silk wedding dress accompanied by a sweet little vintage handbag. An incredible  day. A truly timeless and classic wedding. Can we hear a WOWEEE!!?? Jess and Paul were married on Saturday at Paul’s childhood home in Clevedon. The property looked amazing! Almost as amazing as the bride and groom! After the ceremony we dipped away for a few portraits in their orchard which is just a few steps away from the lawn they were married on. More of this deliciousness soon! Jess, Paul, what can we say. Your wedding day was magical :-)

Alex and I have just returned from a family wekend away spent on Waiheke Island to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday! Happy birthday dad! It was an amazing weekend filled with swimming, playing backyard cricket, eating good food, tickles, laughter and GREAT memories! I do wish we could all get together like this more often. Its quite hard to achieve these days as MY oh MY has our family expanded! Before any of my siblings married, we were a family of 7 (5 children plus mum and dad!) Now 4 of us are married and many children have been born! Alex and I have 3 nephews, 2 more twin nephews in the oven growing, and 4 nieces! So all of us together (mum, dad, nana, popa, siblings, husbands, wives, and children came to a grand total of 20 people!! Now thats a lot of people!

Introducing the most wonderful Amber and Jamin!

We’ve had some great adventures with these two – Playing in the wind and waves at Piha for their engagement shoot...running around in search of West Auckland photo locations….Jumping a locked gate into their wedding venue just to take a peek prior to the wedding day… I think we’re the perfect match….Like us, Amber and Jamin are aways up for an adventure! I think that’s why they make such a perfect couple too. Amber with her infectious laugh and golden locks and Jamin with his incredible ability to balance upside down and pull a handstand on almost anything. Well, at least, that’s how Alex will remember him best from his morning fooling around at Cornwallis Wharf with the boys…

Their wedding took place at Markovina Estate, a fantastic venue in Kumeu. The reception area is awesome. As are the whole grounds actually. Alex, why didn’t we get married there!? Every little detail at the wedding was a photographer’s dream. We could rave on all day to you about these guys….but why don’t we let a few of their photographs do the talking instead.

Amber, Jamin….you guys are too cute and we had the most bestest time ever hanging out with you both! Thanks so much for having us!

I always preface these film blog posts with a disclaimer that these are in fact NOT Amanda and Spencer’s final wedding photos. Rather, on occasion our lovely couples will encourage me to shoot a few film frames throughout their day. Of course, I delight when this happens, as those who know me will be aware of my obsession with all things analog. Not only are these not Amanda and Spencer’s official wedding photos…..the quality of the scans is pretty ridiculously poor if you ask me (yeah, I admit, I’m pretty cheap with the labs I go to). Nevertheless, here they are for your viewing pleasure. A few little snaps of the bride and groom and behind the scenes of their day at Villa Maria Estate. Aren’t these two stunning together!?
